Patio and Garden String Lights

• Must not exceed 50 lumens per linear foot and 2000 lumens in the aggregate (4000 lumens for nonresidential properties) (Section 102-5A)

• Must be 2700K or less in color temperature (Section 102-4B)(2400K or less is recommended to be the most dark-sky and neighbor friendly)

• Must be turned off between 11pm and 6am (or, in the case of nonresidential properties, turned off between one hour after closing until one hour before opening) (Section 102-4D)

Exceptions:

• Temporary lighting for events sponsored by the Town (Section 102-7G)
• Temporary lighting approved by the Select Board in conjunction with a special event (Section 102-7H)
